CALLING ALL RUNNERS
ALSTRUPrunning is based on the idea that anything is possible!
Recreational running, or a desire to complete a 5 km, 10 km, half marathon, marathon or even ultra marathon distance event all begin in the same place...with the first step!
We work with any beginner, recreational runner or individual who wants to improve their race performance.
If you have decided it was just not possible for you to achieve, then it is time to change your thinking!
MAKING IT HAPPEN
ALSTRUPrunning has worked with and introduced clients to recreational running through customized introduction to run programs and prepared runners for races of 5 km to Marathon distance events.
Programs address the readiness of each individual for their goal followed by strength, flexibility, co-ordination and cardiovascular conditioning.
A nutritionally supportive program is created along with a structured plan to address the goal.
As with any successful program, a peaking scheduled is also prepared to maximize your training and have you ready for race day!
EXPERIENCE
Erik began running he weighed 240 lbs at 6% body fat.
Not exactly the ideal frame for running. However, following a training schedule and dietary plan specific to change his body composition and develop his cardiovascular system, along with the intent to continue to move forward, Erik eventually reduced his muscle mass and body weight each year by 10-15 lbs. eventually arriving at 175 lbs at 6% body fat.
In the process, he completed over 100 races including running road races, duathlons and triathlons. He has been a Subaru Triathlon Series age group and division multiple winner and will compete in his 21st marathon in 2010: Boston Marathon, April 2010.
